The church is made up of people who share one faith in Christ. Each member’s particular talent or ability is important. Like a patchwork quilt, the church is made richer and more beautiful as we bring our many gifts together in service of God and our neighbor.
"You are the body of Christ and individually members of it."
1 Corinthinas 12:27
The Church Council provides many opportunities for members to provide leadership in the life of our congregation. Meetings are held four times per year to develop and monitor a ministry plan that highlights each year’s goals. Members of the Church Council also provide leadership for a particular ministry that the church performs, i.e. worship and music, fellowship, human concerns, finance, etc.
Those who wish with a more limited commitment may wish to join one of our Ministry Teams or participate in our fall Come, Grow, Go program.
Meet the church Council Members
Hymns are sung from a variety of sources that add to the joy and meaning of our prayer and praise together. We use the "NEW" ELW - Evangelical Lutheran Worship materials. In addition we use Marty Haugen’s "Now the Feast and Celebration" and "Holden Evening Prayer", Jay Beech’s "One Body Alive", Michael Burkhardt's "A New Song", Gregory Berg's "Oh, the Joy of Knowing Jesus" and "Joyous Light" by Ray Mackeever.
The Church is made up people: all the people. Every person can participate in our weekly services by offering to serve as a lay minister. In a comfortable and supportive environment you can experience the satisfaction of contributing to our worship and praise.
You will find a variety of positions within the lay ministry program.
Each is designed to provide an important role in the church service. We understand the challenges associated with committing time and talents, but we feel this wide variety of positions has something for each member.
