F.Y.I. no longer means For Your Information. Here at Church of the Resurrection F.Y.I. means Faithful Youth Inc.; that’s what our high school students are all about.
They are excited to come together as faith-filled friends in Christ. School cliques and labels have no place here.
Our high school students meet for Bible study, fun times, fundraisers and service work throughout the year. Of course there is the much anticipated annual summer trip, which is held at various locations throughout the United States.
Our high school youth are excited to grow as Christians and put their energy to good use. You will even see them participate in worship on Sundays.
Friends are always welcome to F.Y.I. events.
Ash Thursday Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raiser?
Yes, this year, due to the snow, the Ash Wednesday evening church service was actually held on Thursday! This means that the Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raiser for F.Y.I. was also changed.
Our high school youth attempted to raise money for a number of summer trips all designed to help them build on their faith and to share their talents with those less fortunate.
F.Y.I. at Lutherock!
Each summer, the high school youth travel to one or two camps to build faith and friendships while providing service to an organization in need.
This past year, the group traveled to North Carolina and spent time at Lutherock Camp.

The "Bayou Bash"!
Who said that fundraising can’t be fun?
On June 14th the high school youth had thrown the party of the year. The Bayou Bash Dinner and Silent Auction was the FYI's annual fundraiser. Food, music, friends and youthful service were the highlights.
Chef Tod Hamilton and crew were cook’ n up a Cajun storm of delicious entrees from the South.
High school youth group ministry programs are supported by this fundraiser. All moneys raised went toward programming costs, curriculum, food (for events), lock-ins, service projects, summer camp and the like. We thank you for valuing this vital ministry.
This year, the youth raised nearly $5,000. A special thank you to Pastor Carolyn, (aka PC) Tod Hamilton and the dozens of people who supported this effort.
As Tod said, "he will look forward to seeing each of you here next year!"
