Confirmation

You Do Not Want To Miss This!

Confirmation is an exciting ministry here at Church of the Resurrection. We have an awesome program that is highly interactive and fun! No more lecture-based learning like in the olden days.

Confirmation at Church of the Resurrection is about saying "Yes!" to God.

This happens for 6th- 8th graders through large and small group activities every Wednesday evening, 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Confirmation Karioki Night!

Confirmation Classes to those of us with a few gray hairs meant structure, discipline and much memorization. But not for the youth at Church of the Resurrection, Confirmation rocked last night.

What we do at confirmation...

Each week, confirmation begins with a large group opening session. It's during this time that students learn about their faith. Pastors and guest speakers present a weekly theme; and there's always time for the joke of the week and crazy skits.

A variety of different approaches are chosen to help deliver a message in a thought provoking and enlightening manor.

Activities for every age group...

The 6^th grade confirmation students discover that they have a lot in common with ancient Bible characters and stories. They begin confirmation by learning about the Old and New Testament through song, story, movies, large and small groups.

Our 7^th and 8^th graders learn about the Creed, Ten Commandment, Lord’s Prayer, Sacraments and Martin Luther through skits, Power Point, dynamic speakers, large and small group time.

Each grade works on a yearly project and participates in service work in our community. Confirmation students are also encouraged to participate in summer camp at Ox Lake and overnight Lutherdale retreats throughout the school year.

9^th graders are confirmed the first Sunday in November.
